about

Kenan
Demir.

UI/UX designer working on digital products, design systems and the small decisions that make an interface feel calm.

Kenan Demir — Istanbul, TR

The best interface is the one nobody has to explain.

I’ve spent close to a decade on the unglamorous half of product design — the flows, the states, the empty screens, the error copy. The parts that decide whether a product feels trustworthy at 11pm on a bad connection.

My work usually starts with a conversation about the business, not the screens. Then research, information architecture, interface, design system, and handoff — staying close to engineering until the thing is actually live.

I’m comfortable being the only designer in the room, and just as comfortable building the system a larger team will live inside for years.

How I work

process

(01)

Understand

Business goals, constraints, competitors and — most importantly — the people who will actually use it.

(02)

Frame

Information architecture and flows first. Most interface problems are structure problems wearing a visual disguise.

(03)

Design

Interface, motion, edge cases and a system that holds the whole thing together as it grows.

(04)

Ship

Handoff, QA and iteration with engineering. Design that never ships is a portfolio piece, not a product.
