The problem

The challenge was making that invisible infrastructure easy to understand, without telling every customer the same story.

Zotlo does a lot of work that its customers never actually see. It processes payments, handles taxes and compliance, manages subscriptions, and connects web purchases back to apps. Explaining the value of that infrastructure meant finding a way to show what normally happens in the background.

At the same time, the site had to speak to very different businesses. A mobile app team, a game studio, and a SaaS company may need the same underlying infrastructure, but they arrive with different priorities and use different language.

The old site tried to explain most of this on the homepage. As the product grew, the page became more crowded while individual capabilities had less room to explain themselves.

What we changed

  • We reorganized the navigation around two simple questions: who are you, and what do you need? Solutions covers different business types, while Services covers individual product capabilities.
  • We created a repeatable structure for service pages. Each page introduces one capability, shows the relevant product UI, explains what it covers, and leads naturally into the next part of the platform.
  • We visualized the parts of Zotlo that are normally invisible. The merchant-of-record model became a simple diagram showing how Zotlo sits between the business, payment providers, tax systems, and customers. Web-to-app flows show how data and access move from the browser back into the app.
  • We used the product itself wherever possible. Instead of relying on generic illustrations, key claims are paired with the interface that actually delivers them.
  • We made global reach specific. Rather than simply saying “global,” the site shows the scale directly: 195+ countries, 25+ currencies, 30+ languages, along with the payment methods customers can use.
  • We standardized the main conversion paths across the site. Visitors who are ready can start immediately, while those who need more context can request a demo.

“Infrastructure is difficult to sell when nobody can see it. A big part of the work was simply making Zotlo visible.”
